The 2017-18 season was quite the rebound for the Duquesne women's basketball team. They increased their wins by seven, going from 18 to 25, which is the second-most in program history. The Dukes had 13 Atlantic 10 Conference wins, trying a school record and had their #2 seed was the highest they have ever had in the conference championship.

Highlights include:

  • Three Dukes were named all-conference in Chassidy Omogrosso (First-Team), Julijana Vojinovic (Second-Team) and Kadri-Ann Lass (All-Defensive)

  • Both Omogrosso and Lass joined the 1,000 point club

  • Omogrosso set single-season mark with 92 3-pointers

  • Lass set a new program career record in blocks as well as the single-season mark. She also tied her own single-game record with eight blocks at ETSU

  • The Dukes led A-10 in blocks per game (5.4), 1.2 more than 2nd place Dayton

  • Duquesne set new single-season program record with 3-pointers made (258)

  • The Dukes had the second best 3-point field goal percentage in program history (37.8)

  • Champions of the Cavalier Classic, defeating NCAA tournament teams Virginia and North Carolina A&T

  • Also had wins over NCAA tournament teams George Washington, Saint Francis U and Central Michigan

  • Seven Top 100 wins

  • The team had a 17-game home winning streak

  • Dan Burt became the 16th fastest coach to win 100 games

  • The program won its 600th game as a program and 500th Division I game
