Stasia King finished her first year as assistant coach of her Alma mater Harrisburg High School

Former Duquesne forward Stasia King finished her first year as assistant coach of her Alma mater Harrisburg High School.

In the 2017-2018 season, King helped the Lady Cougars to a 28-4 record. HHS was the Mid Penn Commonwealth champion, going 12-2 and won the District 3 Class 5A tournament.

Harrisburg advanced to the quarterfinals of the PIAA Class 5A tournament before falling to Southern Lehigh.

The 2015 graduate led Dukes to a Round 3 berth in the WNIT her senior season. She shot 49 percent for her career. She also excelled off the court as a member of the Black Student Union, the Duquesne chapter of the NAACP and was an academic tutor for the Schenley Heights Community Development Program.
