PITTSBURGH - Dan Burt was formally introduced as Duquesne's women's basketball head coach this afternoon at a press conference held in the Power Center Ballroom.

Burt, the 10th head coach in the 40 year history of the Duquesne women's program, was named head coach late Friday night.

"I would like to thank President Dougherty, Greg Amodio and the search committee - Sherene Brantley and Phil Racicot - for this honor," said Burt. "I really appreciate the opportunity to lead this basketball team. Our core values will not change. Our expectations will not change. We expect to be in the NCAA Championship and it is my responsibility to get us there."

Burt also announced that Rachel Wojdowski, who has served as director of basketball operations for the past three seasons, has been elevated to assistant coach.
