Former Duquesne forward Diana Voynova ('11) has signed a contract to play for Banca Stabiese Stabia. The team, also known as "Stabia Basket", plays in the Italian A2 Division. The team is located in Castellammare di Stabia which is about 20 miles southeast from Naples.

Voynova, who played the last two seasons in England, led Team Northumbria to its first-ever National Cup Championship in January. After finishing last season with 14.5 points and 11.4 rebounds, Voynova was named All-EBL1 Honorable Mention by Eurobasket.

Prior to that, she played one season for Dunav Ruse 8806 of the Bulgarian National League.

Voynova played in 62 games in her two season with Duquesne leading them to a 44-23 record and two appearances in the WNIT. In 2011, the Dukes advanced to the WNIT's Sweet 16 after victories over Kent State and at Kensas. She scored 105 career points and hauled in 156 career rebounds for the Dukes. Her best individual game was on Dec. 29, 2009 when she recorded double-double in a 72-63 win at #19 Pittsburgh with career-best 10 points and 10 rebounds.
