Duquesne Adds Kiersten Elliott

“Kiersten is going to be a vital part of our Duquesne program and I could not be happier,” said Burt. “She has been an important and valuable contributor to a multiple state championship winning team at Vincentian High School. Her length and athleticism will allow her to compete at the Division 1 level. This first year at Duquesne will be one where she concentrates on strength training and skill development.”
Elliott was a four-year letter winner at Vincentian Academy. She led the Lady Royals to four consecutive Section 2 and WPIAL Class A championships and back-to-back PIAA Championships in 2014 and 2015. In her time at Vincentian, the team went 108-11 overall, 46-2 in Section 2.
As a senior, Elliott averaged 11.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.3 steals 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks.
In Vincentian’s 2016 WPIAL championship game, Elliott scored a game-high 24 points.
A member of National Honor Society who received high honors all four years, Elliott plans of majoring in biology.
