Szamosi Scores 18 in Hungary's 85-63 Win Over Israel

SOFIA, Bulgaria - Amadea Szamosi scored a game-high 18 points as the Hungarian National Team won its fifth straight game at the FIBA U20 European Championship on Wednesday.
With Hungary leading 25-21 in Quarter 2, Szamosi's driving layup started a 20-8 run, putting Hungary up 45-29 heading into halftime. Szamosi assisted on a Fanni Szabo jumper that gave Hungary its largest lead of the contest - 25-points - at 58-33 with 4:04 remaining in Quarter 3.
Hungary would maintain a 20+ point lead the rest of the game for all but 61 seconds.
The Hungarian dominated on the boards, outrebounding Israel 49-32 and had nine steals to Israel's two. Hungary made 32-of-63 shots (50.8 percent) to Israel's 23-of-64 (35.9 percent).
After a day off, Hungary will face Norway on Friday, Great Britain on Saturday and Bulgaria on Sunday.
