CRESSON, Pa. - Former Duquesne standout Kristi Little has been named head coach of the Mount Aloysius College women's basketball team.

As a player for the Dukes from 2006-09, Little finished her career with 1,266 points and 458 assists and 376 free throws made. A two-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference player, she became only the second Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year to win the award in back-to-back seasons (2008, 2009). Little led Duquesne to its first-ever post-season appearance when they played in the WNIT in 2009.

Little played her final two seasons under Dukes head coach Suzie McConnell-Serio who developed Little into one of the A-10's top point guards.

"Coach Serio mentally prepared me to expect the best from myself," said Little. "She coached to my strengths to allow me to have two successful seasons under her. She taught me to bring a winning mentality to the team and that is how she turned the program around."

Mount Aloysius, a Division III school located 75 miles east of Pittsburgh, participates in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.
