PITTSBURGH - Alex Gensler, who finished her career as the Duquesne women's basketball all-time leader in 3-point baskets, has signed a contract to play professionally for ZTE NKK of the Hungarian A League. The team is based in Zalaegerszeg, which is close to the Slovenian and Austrian borders and is approximately 150 miles from the capital city of Budapest.

The Pittsburgh native, who ended her career with 1,445 points (4th all-time), was part of the winningest senior class in program history - 84 victories - and led the Dukes to four consecutive post-season appearances. She was named 2012 Atlantic 10 Second-Team All-Conference as well as to the All- Academic Team.

Gensler becomes the third player under head coach Suzie McConnell-Serio to play overseas. Kristi Little (`09) played one season for Bajai MKK also in the Hungarian A League and Diana Voynova ('11) is currently playing for Dunav 8806 in the National Bulgarian League.
