NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has released its 2012-13 league schedule today. Each A-10 member will play a 14-game conference schedule including seven home games and seven road games. Each institution will play all other A-10 institutions except one. Duquesne will not face Rhode Island in 2012-13.

The conference schedule begins on Jan. 13 when Duquesne travels to Cincinnati to take on Xavier. Last season, the Dukes ended the Musketeers' nine-game series winning streak with a 77-51 victory.

The conference home opener will be Jan. 16th versus Saint Louis. The Dukes have won five of their past six A-10 home openers. Duquesne stays at home to face Temple on Jan. 20th. The Owls are coming off a 23-win season and a berth in the 3rd Round of the WNIT.

The Dukes travel to A-10 newcomer VCU on Jan. 23rd, playing the Rams for the first time in Atlantic 10 Conference play. VCU also advanced to the 3rd Round of the WNIT last season.

Fordham comes to the Palumbo Center on Jan 27th. Coach Serio is a perfect 5-0 against the Rams including last year's 56-50 win in the Bronx.

Duquesne heads to our nation's capital on Jan. 30th to take on George Washington. The Dukes have won five straight games against the Colonials including a 69-55 victory in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championship last year.

Following the GW game, the Dukes stay on the road against Charlotte on Feb. 3rd. Last season, Duquesne won its third straight game against the 49ers 81-53.

Duquesne returns home for three straight games beginning on Feb. 7th against defending regular season champions St. Bonaventure. Coming off a record season, the Bonnies racked up 31 wins and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 before falling to runner-up Notre Dame.

Feb. 10th, Richmond comes to the Palumbo Center. The Spiders are coming off a 23-win season and a berth in the 2nd Round of the WNIT.

The home stand wraps up on Feb. 13th with Saint Joseph's. The Hawks finished the 2012 season with 22 wins before falling to VCU in the 2nd Round of the WNIT.

On President's Day, Feb. 18th, Duquesne plays a rare Monday night contest when they visit defending Atlantic 10 Tournament champion and NCAA participant Dayton. The game will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network.

The Dukes travel to Massachusetts on Feb. 24 and wrap up the road portion of the conference schedule on Feb. 27th at La Salle. Coach Serio is a combined 11-0 versus the Minutewomen and the Explorers.

In the conference regular season finale, Duquesne hosts new A-10 member Butler. The last time the Dukes and Bulldogs faced each other was in the 2009 WNIT - the first-ever post-season game in Duquesne women's basketball history.

The 2013 Atlantic 10 Championship has a slightly different venue format from years past. The opening, quarterfinal and semifinal rounds will be played at Hagan Arena on the campus of Saint Joseph's University on March 8-10. The final game will be at the new state-of-the-art Barclays Center in Brooklyn in conjunction with the men's semifinal contests on Saturday, March 16.

The top 12 women's teams at the end of the regular season will advance to the championship, with the top four teams earning a bye. The semifinal rounds will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network and the final game will be aired on the ESPN Networks.
