Men's and Women's Basketball Promotional Schedules Announced
Nov. 10, 2011
When the women's basketball team plays host to Buffalo on Monday, Nov. 14 at 7:00 pm and the men's team welcomes Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 7:00 pm, fans can expect an improved game-day atmosphere along with one of the numerous promotions and give-aways which are scheduled for the 2011-12 season.
Not only will fans receive a free schedule magnet at both of these games, but they will also be greeted by the new Dukes Fan Patrol. The Dukes Fan Patrol is a group of Duquesne students who assist the athletic marketing department with in-game promotions and help create a fun game day atmosphere. This is a student-volunteer opportunity and a great chance for college students to build a resume in college athletics.
Men's promotional highlights include a "Crowd the CONSOL" day for the Penn State game on Dec. 10, a "Welcome Back Students" day for the Jan. 4 game versus Saint Joseph's as well as some of the traditional (and a few knew) give-aways and halftime acts.
The women's promotional schedule boasts Buck Days, Education Day for the Dec. 6 game versus Miami, Ohio, a Teddy Bear Toss for the West Virginia game on Dec. 17 and the "Pink Zone" game versus Charlotte on Feb. 11 in support of breast cancer awareness. Also available is an opportunity to celebrate your birthday with Duquesne women's basketball.
