Vote Wumi Agunbiade for Dapper Dan 2013 Sportswoman of the Year

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne senior forward Wumi Agunbiade has been announced as a finalist for the Dapper Dan 2013 Sportswoman of the Year.
In 2013, Agunbiade was named Atlantic 10 First-Team All-Conference after leading the Dukes with 13.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Currently the program's 10th all-time leading scorer, Agunbiade ended last season with 1,263 career points. She was named A-10 Player of the Week on Jan. 21st after recording back-to-back 23 point games versus Saint Louis and Temple. She led the Dukes in scoring 12 times and rebounds 15 times and helped the Dukes to their fifth consecutive post-season berth, tying a school record with 24 wins and setting the school record with a .750 winning percentage.
The Dapper Dan Dinner & Sports Auction has been Dapper Dan Charities' signature fund raising event since 1936. This sports banquet was one of the first in the nation and served as the model for the hundreds of charity dinners featuring athletes that followed. It continues to be Pittsburgh's largest and most prestigious sports banquet. The event is a celebration of scholarship and sports excellence that honors the best athletes in high school, college and professional sports, with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania youth sports leagues.
Award recipients will be confirmed by the Dapper Dan Charities executive committee and announced in mid-December. They will then be recognized at the 78th annual Dapper Dan Dinner & Sports Auction on Thurs., Feb. 6.
Voting ends at midnight on Sun., Dec. 8.
