Women's Basketball Defeats Pitt in The City Game 70-61
Belma Nurkic scored a game-high 18 points - including five 3-pointers and Wumi Agunbiade added 15 as the Duquesne women's basketball won its seventh straight game to improve to 8-1 after defeating the University of Pittsburgh 70-61 in the annual City Game on Saturday afternoon.
Coached by Suzie McConnell-Serio who is in her 1st season at Pittsburgh (7-6) and 7th overall (130-74) ... leading scorer is Brianna Kiesel (16.5 ppg) ... leading rebounder is Asia Logan (7.2 rpg) ... Pittsburgh was selected to be 15th of 15 teams in the ACC preseason poll.
