@DuqBowling Finishes 15th at Ladyjack Classic

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne, facing a loaded 18-team field that included 16 ranked teams, finished 15th at the Storm’in Ladyjack Classic in Houston.
The 18th-ranked Dukes defeated a pair of Top 10 teams in finishing with a 7-6 record.
Duquesne posted consecutive wins over #17 North Carolina A&T, #3 Arkansas State and #19 Louisiana Tech to finish 3-2 in Friday’s baker matches. DU, which had a 190.1 average for the day, barely missed going 4-1, dropping a 104-101 tiebreaker to #9 Tulane (923-923) in their tournament opener.
On Saturday, DU went 3-2 in its traditional matches with wins over #20 Wisconsin Whitewater, Bethune-Cookman and #5 Sam Houston State. The Dukes shook off a defeat at the hands of No. 4 Vanderbilt to defeat SHSU in their final match. Megan Cook rolled a 211, Allison Hresko had a 195 and the Dukes got a big 194 from Sarah Kirkpatrick in her only game of the day to defeat the Bearcats. Hresko led DU with a 187.2 average, followed by Cook with a 186.2 to lead DU on Saturday.
In Sunday’s position round, the 13th seed Dukes fell to 22nd ranked Maryville (4-3) and No. 5 Sam Houston State (1-4) before rallying to defeat 11th ranked Adelphi (4.5-2.5) in their final match.
