Adriane LaRussa enters her first season as an assistant coach of the Duquesne lacrosse team. She began coaching lacrosse in 2000 as a team coordinator with Three Rivers Lacrosse indoor league and at Taylor-Allderdice High School.

LaRussa was on staff for the 2003 US Scholar-Athlete lacrosse games in Kingston, R.I. and has accepted a coaching position for the 2006 games. She serves as an assistant coach for Intrepid Girls Lacrosse Club and has served as a director and coach for Pittsburgh All-Stars Lacrosse and Western PA Scholastic Lacrosse Association (WPSLA) All-Stars. She has been an at-large board member for the Pittsburgh Chapter of US Lacrosse since 2000 and is the Middle School Girls League President of WPSLA, a position she has held since 2001. She served as a volunteer during the 2005 IFWLA World Cup in Annapolis, MD.

The Pittsburgh native graduated from Oakland Catholic High School in 2000 and earned her degree in elementary education from Chatham College in May 2005. LaRussa is currently pursuing her masters of arts in teaching with a special education emphasis at Chatham. She is a substitute teacher at the Western PA School for Blind Children and is a teacher's assistant with the Carnegie Mellon Institute for Talented Elementary Students (C-Mites).
