Lisa Vacca Evans enters her second year at the helm of the Duquesne women's lacrosse team after being promoted to head coach in August 2016.

Prior to being named head coach, Evans served two seasons as first assistant (2015-2016) and an additional five years (2009-2014) as a volunteer assistant under Mike Scerbo.

Evans began her collegiate coaching career at Robert Morris, where she specialized in offense and goalies as an assistant under head coach Katy Phillips for four seasons (2005-2009). While at RMU, Evans was also the assistant coach for the Colonials' field hockey team for one season.

Prior to her stint at RMU, Evans was an assistant at Quaker Valley High School and head coach at Quaker Valley Middle School for three years, where she was named 2005 Western Pennsylvania Scholastic Lacrosse Association Coach of the Year.

Additionally, Evans has coaching experience with Shady Side Academy field hockey (two seasons) as well as with the Intrepid Lacrosse Club (five seasons).

Evans played four years with the University of Pittsburgh club lacrosse team, captaining the Panthers for three seasons. She graduated from Pitt in 2002 with a degree in psychology.

Hailing from West Chester, Pennsylvania, she played lacrosse for the Downingtown Whippets.

Evans is currently enrolled in Duquesne's School of Business, where she is working toward a Master of Sports Business. She currently serves as a site director for the Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse Club based in Western Pennsylvania. Evans resides in the South Hills with her husband, Owen, and their cat, Tater.
