Scerbo makes move to administration; Evans named head coach

E-mail Coach Evans:

Lisa Evans was named the third head coach in the history of the Duquesne University lacrosse program in August, 2016. She takes over the head coaching duties after seven seasons as an assistant coach for the Dukes, replacing Mike Scerbo who moved to an administrative role within the Duquesne athletics department.

Evans came to the Bluff from Robert Morris in 2009, where she spent four years as an assistant coach, working primarily with the Colonials' offense and goal keepers.

In addition to her time at RMU, Evans has coached for five years with the Intrepid Lacrosse Club as well as serving as head coach at Quaker Valley Middle School for three seasons, where she was named 2005 Western Pennsylvania Scholastic Lacrosse Association coach of the year. She also spent two years coaching field hockey at Shadyside Academy.

As a player, Evans played four seasons at the University of Pittsburgh, captaining the Panthers for three of those years. She earned her degree in psychology in 2002.
