PITTSBURGH - Cincinnati's Lynsey Burton scored four times in the Bearcats' 11-8 win over the Duquesne lacrosse team Friday afternoon.

Meghan Frederick and Cailin Colegrove each scored twice for the Dukes, who fell to 0-3 on the season.

DU struck first, six minutes into the game on Frederick's fifth goal of the year. UC answered with a pair of goals before Shannon Hadaway and Sarah Carson gave Duquesne a 3-2 advantage midway through the first half.

The Bearcats would score the next four goals and take a 6-3 lead into halftime.

Lindesy Marshall's second goal of the game opened up the scoring in the second half, just 21 seconds in. MacKenzie Parsons followed three minutes later to give UC their largest lead of the game at 8-3

The Dukes roared back with four consecutive goals in just over five minutes. Katie Rekart found the back of the net at the 25:58 mark. Frederick set up Liz Fey before Colegrove scored back-to-back goals, the first on a helper from Elise Caldwell, to get Duquesne within one goal at 8-7 with 19:02 left.

UC would get another goal from Burton at the 15:22 mark to extend their lead to two goals.

Fey had a chance to reduce the deficit to one goal on a free position shot, but the ball bounced off the cross bar out of play.

On the ensuing possession, Burton scored on a free position shot to make the score 10-7. Marshall would add another goal with 10:23 left to make it a four-goal game.
