PITTSBURGH, PA - Duquesne (2-1) suffered a 19-9 defeat against Vanderbilt Sunday afternoon at George K. Cupples Stadium. The Dukes, down 7-5 at halftime, were outscored 12-4 in the second stanza. Meghan Frederick led the Dukes with five points on three goals and two assists.

DU and VU exchanged goals to begin the second half, but with the Commodores leading 8-6, they scored three straight goals in just over three minutes to take a, 11-6 advantage. The deficit proved to be too much as the Dukes could only get three more shots past keeper Brooke Shinaberry.

Vanderbilt's Jennifer Tapscott had a game high six points (4 goals, 2 assists). Keeper Caitlin Carducci had eight stops for Duquesne.

The Dukes take to the road for games at Ohio State (Mar. 7) and Davidson (Mar. 11) before returning to Rooney Field Mar. 17 to face Bucknell.
