Dukes Take Mount St. Mary's 12-5
March 11, 2004 The Duquesne women's lacrosse team took a 12-5 victory over Mount St. Mary's Thursday afternoon at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. The win puts the Dukes at 3-2 overall and wraps up a three-game Spring Break series. Ginger Flocco led the game with four goals and two assists while Kelly Mulford and Caroline Gallagher each added two goals. Laura App also added two assists in the win while keeper Sarah Pacini went the distance in front of the cage recording 12 saves. Also racking up scores for the Dukes were Meredith Williams, Krista Mann, Courtney Tamasitis and Laura App with one goal each. Becca West, Williams and Tamasitis also added an assist. Mann netted the game-winner at the 16-minute mark of the second frame. Mann led the Dukes with five ground balls and four draw controls while App forced a team-high three opponent turnovers. The Dukes return to the 'Burgh and open the home season on Tuesday, March 16, as they host Denver at 4:00 pm on Rooney Field.
