Red and Blue Break Down Bucknell, 18-9

For the second straight game a Duquesne lacrosse player tallied 10 points in a contest as Haley Marafioti scored five goals and added five assists in an 18-9 victory at Bucknell Tuesday afternoon.
Bucknell scored the first goal of the contest less than three minutes into the game, but the Dukes responded with nine of the next 10 goals for a decisive 9-2 halftime advantage.
DU outscored BU, 9-7 in the second half to claim the win.
Amanda Kidder followed Marafioti's performance with four goals, two assists, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Clare Hurley chipped in a hat trick to go along with four draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Meredith Dunn also tallied four goals while Caitlin Prince scored two.
The Dukes (5-4) return to action on Friday, March 29 as they open Atlantic 10 play by travelling to St. Bonaventure on Friday at 6:00 pm.
