Dukes Take Down Temple in Philly, 14-7

Caitlin Prince scored five goals and Clare Hurley added three as Duquesne defeated Temple, 14-7 Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia.

The Dukes (8-4, 1-1 A-10) struck first less than three minutes into the contest with a goal by Casey Denk before Prince scored the eventual game-winner nine and a half minutes into the game. The Red and Blue took an 8-3 lead into the half and exchanged goals for much of the second half before securing the win.

Casey Denk and Haley Marafioti scored two goals apiece for DU while Elise Caldwell and Amanda Kidder each had two assists, Casey Briglia had four ground balls and Hurley had five draw controls. Liz Walker made eight saves in goal.

The Dukes return to action on Thursday, April 5 as they host St. Bonaventure at 2:00 pm on Rooney Field.
