Duquesne's lacrosse team improved to 2-0 in Atlantic 10 play with a 16-1 victory Friday afternoon on Rooney Field. Amanda Kidder scored four times for the Dukes and assisted on two other goals. Clare Hurley and Haley Marafioti each added hat tricks.

The Dukes scored early and often, taking a 4-0 lead just four minutes into the contest before the Hawks answered seven minutes in with their lone goal of the game.

The Red and Blue responded 24 seconds later for a 5-1 advantage, then both teams gave the scoreboard operator a 20-minute rest before DU tallied a couple of scores in the final three minutes for a 7-1 halftime lead.

The Dukes played a solid defensive second half, taking advantage of obvious scoring chances in the second stanza to cruise to the victory.

DU goalkeeper Kristen Gregory was solid once again, making seven saves in earning her sixth victory.

The Dukes return to action on Sunday, April 7 as they host Temple at noon.
