PITTSBURGH- Kathleen Typadis broke a 6-6 tie with 15:32 to play in regulation and Massachusetts held Duquesne without a goal the rest of the way in posting a 10-6 victory at Rooney Field Friday afternoon.

The loss drops the Dukes to 7-7 overall and 2-2 in Atlantic 10 Conference play while the victory was the first in the A-10 this season for UMass (6-8, 1-3).

Down 3-1 in the first period, DU scored three unanswered goals from Courtney Tamasitis, Janna Faulkner and Meghan Frederick to give the Red & Blue their first lead of the game 4-3.

Typadis' scored her second goal of the game at the 7:02 mark of the first half as the teams went into halftime deadlocked at 4-4.

Faulkner scored 3:47 into the second frame giving the Dukes their final lead of the game 5-4. The Minutewomen scored the next two goals just 20 second apart to go up 6-5. Kathleen McNish tied the game at 6-6 at the 17:19 mark, but that would be all the scoring the Dukes could muster.
