Shaw and Kaitlyn DeHaven led the Dukes with three goals each, with Sarah Kollhoff and Jill Vacanti adding two goals apiece. Kenna Gubler recorded a team-high three ground balls, with Shaw, DeHaven and Macy Marafioti each forcing a team-best three caused turnovers. Marafioti led all players with five assists and matched a team-high three groundballs.
UMass' Hannah Murphy registered a game-high five goals, with Holly Turner adding four Minutewomen goals.
1H: UMass opened with three unanswered goals, taking a 3-0 lead by the 27:32 mark. Kollhoff would convert off a free position opportunity with 25:36 to go, putting the Dukes on the board with the score at 3-1. The Minutewomen responded by adding another four goals, before Haley Matthai found the back of the net at 23:47, making it a 7-2 match. After UMass netted a goal, Vacanti's shot with 21:41 left, brought the Dukes within 5 at 8-3. Additionally, Duquesne saw goals from Kollhoff, Shaw, Vacanti and DeHaven, with the score at 15-8 by halftime.
"I think our seniors stepped up well for us, and put all of their blood, sweat and tears into this match. Kaelin Shaw not only got her 100th goal, but Macy Marafioti had five assists and and Kaitlyn DeHaven had three goals. It really showed all of the heart and hustle you need from your seniors to finish out a season. It may not have been what we wanted, but our seniors took us out on a high note."
