Duquesne University's Courtney Tamasitis (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) has been named the Atlantic 10's Women's Lacrosse Performer of the Week after leading the Dukes to a 2-1 record in the opening series of the 2006 season.

The junior midfielder scored in each game and posted six goals and one assist for seven points on the week. She had two goals and three ground balls in a 10- 7 opening win over Longwood on Feb. 18 and posted two of the Dukes' seven goals in a 9-7 loss at Denver on Feb. 19. Tamasitis scored two goals including the game-winner in the 12-5 win at Ohio on Feb. 25 and added an assists and two ground balls in the contest.

Tamasitis is tied for the team lead with six goals and seven points and is tied for second with five draws won.

Duquesne travels to Duke this Saturday for an 11:00 am contest.
