Amanda Kidder and Kaelin Shaw Receive Atlantic 10 Laurels

Duquesne University lacrosse players Amanda Kidder (Fairport, N.Y./Victor) and Kaelin Shaw (Laurel, Md./Atholton) have been named the Atlantic 10 Player and Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 9.
Kidder filled up the stat sheet in a 14-10 win at Marquette on March 7. She had three goals, an assist, a school record eight caused turnovers, eight ground balls and four draw controls. In a March 9 victory at Niagara, she tallied five goals, two assists, three ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers. The junior midfielder currently leads the nation in caused turnovers per game with 3.75.
Shaw received her second Rookie of the Week citation after a stellar weekend. She scored two goals in the Marquette win and added a goal and two ground balls in the Niagara triumph, giving her six goals on the season.
The Red and Blue return to action on Friday, March 14 as they travel to St. Francis for a 7:00 pm contest.
