Freshman attack Meghan Frederick (Cockeysville, Md./Dulaney) has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after her game-high four goal performance in the Dukes' 15-5 win over Canisius April 5. She added a game-best six shorts on goal as well a one ground ball and one caused turnover against the Golden Griffins.

Frederick, who has started all 10 games for the Red & Blue, is second on the team in goals (19) and points (25). She is the third player to take home the Rookie of the Week award this season joining Janna Faulkner (3/12) and Sarah Cates (co-3/19).

Duquesne begins Atlantic 10 Conference play tomorrow Tuesday afternoon when they host St. Bonaventure at Rooney Field. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
