Drexel, McNish, Hadaway Named to 2008 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

West Hyannisport, Mass. - Duquesne's Keri Drexel, Shannon Hadaway and Kat McNish were among 159 Division I student-athletes have earned Academic Honor Roll status for 2008 as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association today. To be eligible, players must have achieved at least junior year status and have a minimum GPA of 3.2.

Hadaway, who finished up her first year wearing red and blue after transferring from Ohio University, made quite an impression on and off the field. In her junior season, she set personal bests with 26 goals and 28 points while has being named a member of both the A-10 Commissioner's and Director of Athletics' Honor Rolls plus the Dean's List. Majoring in investment management, Hadaway has a GPA of 3.54.
McNish, the 2008 Atlantic 10 Student-Athlete of the Year, finished her junior season by becoming the Dukes' all-time assist leader with 111. Her career-high 43 assists led all A-10 players. A member of both the A-10 Commissioner's and Director of Athletics' Honor Rolls and the Dean's List, McNish is majoring in elementary education and has a GPA of 3.64.
Additionally, the lacrosse team's cumulative GPA of 3.27 makes them one of just 50 DI schools to be honored on the IWLCA Academic Squad, earned by teams that have a collective GPA of 3.0 or greater.
