PITTSBURGH
- Duquesne lacrosse head coach Lisa Evans has released the Dukes' full schedule for the upcoming 2018 campaign.

Duquesne is set to play 16 contests including seven non-conference tilts and nine games against Atlantic 10 foes. The Dukes are slated to appear eight times at Arthur J. Rooney Field including five home A-10 matchups.

"We're really excited about our upcoming spring schedule," said Evans. "We've added several new teams to the mix which will challenge us with diverse competition. Couple these games with the traditional teams we've played in the past and we have a great schedule to prepare us for A-10 play."

Duquesne opens the season against crosstown rival Robert Morris on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. ET at Rooney Field. The Colonials are coming off a second-place finish in the Northeast Conference (NEC) last year.

The Dukes then hit the road for a stiff test at Penn State (17-4, 5-1 B10) on Wednesday, Feb. 21. The Nittany Lions have made two straight NCAA Final Four appearances, falling to eventual national champion Maryland in last season's national semifinal.

Duquesne then returns home to host Niagara on Sunday, Feb. 25 before traveling to nearby Loretto, Pa. to take on St. Francis U on Thursday, March 1. The Dukes topped the Red Flash by a score of 15-11 last season at Rooney Field.

DU will then play host to UMBC on March 10 followed by a pair of road contests at Central Michigan on Thursday, March 15 and Detroit on Saturday, March 17 to cap non-conference play. The Dukes defeated Detroit in 11-10 at home in 2016.

Duquesne opens the A-10 portion of its schedule with three consecutive home games, battling Saint Bonaventure (March 29), Richmond (March 31) and VCU (April 6).

The Dukes follow their three-game home stand with three straight road contests at George Mason (April 8), La Salle (April 13) and Saint Joseph's (April 15).

Rounding out the home slate, Duquesne takes on Davidson (April 20) and George Washington (April 22) at Rooney Field before traveling to face A-10 perennial power UMass on April 28. The Minutewomen finished with a perfect 9-0 ledger in conference play in 2016 and also won an NCAA First Round matchup over Colorado by a score of 13-7.

The 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship will be hosted by Richmond with the quarterfinals on Thursday, May 3 followed by the semifinals on Friday, May 4 and the championship game on Saturday, May 5.
