Dukes Win Two At Mid-American Rowing Champs

Athens, Ohio - Duquesne University's women's rowing team grabbed two victories at the 39th Annual Mid-America Collegiate Rowing Association Championship Regatta on Dow Lake on Saturday. The frosh / novice eight's time of 7:06.10 was about one second in front of Michigan State. And the lightweight four's 8:10.10 was close to 11 seconds faster than Ohio State. DU's frosh/novice four "A" boat finished third of five racers. The Dukes complete their regular season schedule next weekend, Friday and Saturday, May 7-8, at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta on Philadelphia's Schuylkill River in Fairmount Park. The Dad Vail Regatta is the largest collegiate regatta in the United States; over 100 colleges and Universities from the U.S. and Canada will be participating.
