@DuqWRow Finishes Sixth at A-10 Championship

FULL RESULTS

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - The Duquesne rowing team placed sixth at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday morning on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. 

The Dukes tallied a total of 18 points on the day, finishing fifth in the varsity four grand final with time of 8:15.77, second in the varsity eight petite final with a mark of 6:58.28, fifth in the varsity eight grand final at 7:11.47 and fourth in the third varsity eight final, crossing the finish line in 7:45.49. 

The Duquesne varsity four (8:34.21) and second varsity eight (7:23.23) each advanced to the grand final with third-place times in the Dukes' heats.  

Rhode Island won the title with 51 points followed by Massachusetts second with 46 points and George Washington third with 44 points. 

In addition, Duquesne senior Faith Caldiero (Buffalo, N.Y./Nardin Academy) garnered First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors for the Dukes. 

DU will head to Philadelphia next weekend for the Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River on May 11-12.
