Crew Races at the Dad Vails

PHILADELPHIA - The rowing team took to the waters of the Schuylkill River at the Dad Vails in Philadelphia this weekend. The Dad Vails is the largest collegiate regatta in the United States. Over 100 colleges and universities from the U.S. and Canada participated in the regatta.

The Dukes had a successful regatta, qualifying for two final races. The women's varsity lightweight 4+ finished in fifth place with a time of 7:37.39. The novice 4+ second place time of 732.95 was one second behind first place Purdue.

The Dukes season will conclude the June 1 when the Lightweight 4+ races in the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship in Cherry Hill, N.J.
