Duquesne University's women's rowing team took the waters on Nov. 4 in Fairfax, Va. for the Head of the Occoquan. Coach Joe Setting's crew had another excellent showing as the Novice 4 won gold with a time of 21:09:43. DU's two varsity 4's were impressive as they took fifth and sixth out of 21 crews. The lightweight 8 finished seconds behind Penn State in a two-boat race.

The novice crew closes out the fall season on Saturday Oct. 11 on the Allegheny River for the Car-Du-Pitt. The race, which is a scrimmage between Carnegie Mellon, Duquesne, and Pitt, features a novice 4 event and a novice 8 event.
