COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Duquesne women's soccer team's three-match undefeated streak came to end on Sunday evening after its 3-0 loss to Ohio State.

The Buckeyes, who were picked to finish third in the Big Ten Conference, have won five consecutive matches to improve to 5-2-0. The Dukes fall to 2-4-1.

OSU had the first scoring chance of the game in the sixth minute when Danica Wu, a 2011 Big Ten All-Conference performer and 2012 Preseason Player to Watch, was awarded a penalty shot. Wu's shot was stopped on the right side by a diving Devon Tabata to keep the match scoreless.

From that point forward, Ohio State found several offensive opportunites beginning in the 13th minutes when Tiffany Cameron, another 2011 Big Ten All-Conference performer and 2012 Preseason Player to Watch lobbed a shot over Tabata's head off a pass from Wu to put the Buckeyes on the board 1-0.

Less than a minute later, Cameron passed to Lauren Granberg, another 2012 Big Ten Preseason Player to Watch, at the top of the box who finished from 20 yards out putting OSU up 2-0.

The Cameron/Wu combination made the score 3-0 in the 35th minute when Cameron scored form 18 yards out off a long pass from Wu.

Cameron almost complete the hat trick in the 59th minute, but an outstretched Tabata made a fingertip save.

Ohio State outshot Duquesne 21-7. Tabata made seven saves to four from Buckeyes' keeper Rachel Middleman.

Up next for the Dukes is Canisius on Friday night. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.
