WASHINGTON, DC -- Duquesne's women's soccer team was shut out, 2-0, Sunday afternoon by host George Washington in an Atlantic 10 Conference match.

GW's Kimberly Warner scored their first goal at the 15:07 mark of the first half. The Colonial's Kimberly Sanders extended the lead in the second half when she rebounded DU's Kristin Scharphorn diving one-handed save at 77:16. Scharphorn had six saves on the afternoon.

The Dukes outshot the Colonials 14-11. Both teams had eight shots headed to the back of the net with GW goalie Kelly Paolucci stopping all of the attempts by the Red and Blue. GW raised their record to 5-5-0, 2-1-0 in conference play.

Duquesne (5-6-0, 1-2-0 A10) returns to action on Friday, Oct. 11 as they host St. Joseph's (4-5-0, 1-2-0 A10) at 7:00 pm on Rooney Field.
