The Dukes played to a 1-1 tie facing double overtime versus visiting Saint Joseph's (4-5-1, 1-2-1) Friday evening on Rooney Field. Duquesne's record now stands a 5-6-1 overall, 1-2-1 in Atlantic 10 play. It was the Dukes' third overtime contest in the past four outings.

Tough defense was played throughout the first half of the match as neither team scored until the Hawks went up 1-0 in the 43rd minute with Katie Watson scoring from Michelle Carmosky to take the lead at the intermission.

Duquesne came out strong in the second frame as Katie Schwager netted her third goal of the season with the unassisted score in the 51st minute. The feisty Duquesne defense allowed just 10 shots in the contest while taking 20 of its own.

Kristin Scharphorn went the distance for the Dukes in goal recording two saves and allowing one goal.

Duquesne is next in action this Sunday as they host Temple at 1:00 pm on Rooney Field.
