Vinopal's Two Goals Lead Women's Soccer Over St. Bonaventure 3-2

PITTSBURGH - Amy Vinopal scored twice, including the game-winner in the 83rd minute to lead the Duquesne women's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over St. Bonaventure on Friday night at Rooney Field. With the win, the Dukes improve to 5-8-2 overall and 1-3-1 in Atlantic 10 Conference play. The Bonnies fall to 5-9-1, 2-3-0 A-10. SBU got on the board in the 13th minute when Abby Maiello took a Brittany Charles cross and found the back of the net. Three minutes later, Vinopal scored from 25 yards out off a pass from Morgan Herbert. The match would go into halftime tied at 1-1. The Dukes would take a 2-1 lead in the 71st minute when Rachel Baker took a header off a Kahli Hale cross. Vinopal's second goal gave DU a 3-1 lead before Alyssa Lapp's goal in the 87th minute closed the gap at 3-2. Devon Tabata made six saves to improve to 5-5-1 on the season.
