Women's Soccer Drops 2-1 Overtime Decision to #25 Dayton

PITTSBURGH - Dayton's Colleen Williams' header 4:39 into overtime lifted the 25th ranked Flyers to a 2-1 victory over the Duquesne women's soccer team on Friday night.
After a scoreless first half, UD (15-2-0, 7-0-0 A-10) wasted no time getting on the board in the second half. Allison Giner scored just 1:16 into the half. She found the back of the net in the left side of the crease on assists from Williams and Kelsey Miller.
The Dukes' Lauren Ott tied the match in the 64th minute, ending the Flyers' shutout streak at 407 minutes. Ott chipped the ball past Lisa Rodgers from the 10 yard after she came out of the crease for a challenge.
The Flyers now have won 12 matches in a row.
UD outshot the Dukes 16-9 and had 13 corner kicks to Duquesne's zero.
Gabby Morrin made six saves for Duquesne.
"The team show a lot of heart for each other tonight," said head coach Tim Zundel. "We are disappointed with the loss, but we'll get back at it on Sunday."
Next up for DU is Xavier - Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. The senior class will be honored in a pregame ceremony .
