Duquesne's Emily Sedgwick (Syracuse, NY/ The Loomis Chaffee School) was named to the 2006 NSCAA/Adidas College Women Scholar All-America East Region second team.

In her third season with the Dukes, Sedgwick secured the center of Duquesne's defense. She was a starter in all of her 15 games played, and her leadership and solid play contributed to the Dukes only allowing 28 goals on the season, a 1.68 goals per game average, while capturing two shutouts.

For her play during the 2006 season Sedgwick also earned Atlantic 10 Conference honors, being named All-Atlantic 10 second-team.

Sedgwick, a junior, is a public relations and advertising major, maintaining a 3.52 grade point average.
