Women's Soccer Teams Up With Norwin Soccer Club
March 25, 2013
MONROEVILLE - The Duquesne women's soccer team joined forces with the Norwin Soccer Club this weekend to conduct a soccer clinic helping special needs children. The 90 minute event was conducted at the Club Sport and Health.
Norwin Soccer Club works with the largest TOPSoccer program in Western Pennsylvania. TOPSoccer is a community based soccer program for any child ages 4-19 who has any disability. TOPS, for short stands for "The Outreach Program for Soccer." TOPSoccer is a non-profit program that operates under the PA West Soccer Association.
Within the last few months CONSOL Energy has donated more resources to the Norwin Soccer Club to help heighten awareness of the importance of TOPSoccer and youth soccer in Western Pennsylvania.
The Dukes donated their time to work the event and become buddies with the the Norwin Soccer club adaptive children. It was a very special day and one that all parties appreciate the importance of reaching out to communities in need of support.
Thanks to LouAnne Dawson, administrator of the Norwin Soccer club adaptive program.
