The Duquesne University women's soccer team concluded its spring season by getting to the finals of the West Virginia University Betty Puskar Breast Care Center tournament this past Saturday, April 24th.

En route to the championship match, the Dukes only surrendered one goal, downing Beadling U-18's (2-0), beating Ohio University (1-0), and tying Navy (1-1). Duquesne played a very good West Virginia team in the finals, were there unbeaten streak came to an end.

Head Coach James Walker, "The ladies played very well all day and it is very pleasing to get results from Ohio University, whom we lost to in the regular season, and then go on to tie Navy, who made the NCAA Tournament."

The Dukes had a successful spring season only losing three matches, two of them to Big East teams.

The 2004 season will begin Aug. 27 & 29 at the Bowling Green Invitational with the host Falcons, Pitt and Eastern Michigan.
