Women's Soccer Announces Camp Dates
May 18, 2012 The Duquesne University women's soccer program will be hosting a summer residency camp July 15-18. This four day camp will be a intensive camp that will challenge all players aspiring to play at the Division I level. Head coach Al Alvine, the Duquesne University staff, players, and other local collegiate coaches, throughout the area will be instructing the camp. All sessions will take place on Rooney Field and players will be housed on the Duquesne campus. This is a great opportunity for players to measure their abilities against others looking to compete at the Division I level. The camp is open to all players currently entering grades 9-12. Don't hesitate to register, as space is limited.
Camp activities: Campers are trained in areas of soccer technique such as shooting, dribbling, passing, receiving, defending, and heading. These technical components of the game are then utilized in game situations 11v11, 4v4, and 1v1 to put players under pressure and develop their game awareness.
General Information
Once registered each player will receive an e-mail with itinerary details of the daily events, items to bring to camp, along with check-in locations and directions. For questions about the camp or if having difficulty with registration please contact assistant coach Brian Shrum at shrumb1@duq.edu.
Cancellation procedures
In accordance with NCAA guidelines, all Duquesne University Sports Camps and Clinics are open to any and all entrants, limited only by specified number, age, grade level and/or gender of its participants.
