PITTSBURGH - Duquesne head women's soccer coach Al Alvine has named Pittsburgh native Dave Gray assistant coach.

Gray comes to the Bluff after serving as the girl's head coach at Upper St. Clair High School for the last nine seasons. During his time at USC, Gray led the Panthers to an overall record of 126-48-11, 93-18-3 in conference play. Gray led the Panthers to the 2011 WPIAL championship and were the 2007 runner-ups. USC appeared in the WPIAL playoffs in all of Gray's nine seasons and qualified for the PIAA playoffs four times.

Gray holds a USSF National "A" License, a USSF National Goalkeeping Diploma and a NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma.

"We are very excited to add Dave Gray to our coaching staff," said Alvine. "He's an excellent coach with a great background in training the goalkeeper position. While Dave's primary function will be as a goalkeeper coach, he'll be involved in all aspects of our program."

Gray lives in South Fayette with his wife Rachel and son Nicholas.
