Emily Sedgwick Named to the 2007 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division I Women's All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team
Dec. 18, 2007
PITTSBURGH - Senior defender Emily Sedgwick (Syracuse, N.Y./The Loomis Chaffee School) was named to the 2007 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division I Women's All-Mid-Atlantic Region third team as voted on by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Sedgwick was chosen first-team All-Atlantic 10 earlier this season as the Dukes qualified for the A-10 post season tournament for only the second time in school history. She anchored a defense that allowed only 1.28 goals per game as the Dukes set a program record with four consecutive shutouts from Oct. 14 to Oct. 24 and tied the 1996 and 1998 squads with eight shutouts overall. Duquesne's 11 overall wins and eight Atlantic 10 victories were also program records.
