Red and Blue Swim Past La Salle, 117-87

Results

The Duquesne women's swimming team defeated Atlantic 10 foe La Salle, 117-87 Saturday afternoon on senior day at Towers Pool. The Dukes won eight of the 11 events on the day, including both relays.

Senior Melissa Johnson set a Towers Pool record in winning the 200-yard freestyle in 1:53.81 and also captured first in the 100 free with a 53.49. Also winning events were Senior Liz Yager in the 1,000 freestyle, sophomore Katrina Streiner in the 50 free, senior Jenn Gordon in the 200 butterfly and junior Kyla Favret in the 200 backstroke.

The Red and Blue wrap up the regular season next Saturday, Feb. 3 as they travel to Pitt for an 11:00 am meet.
