Dukes Secure Over 82 Team Points in Day Two A-10 Swimming Action

Duquesne's swimming team finished 2-4-9 in the 200-yard individual medley Thursday evening at day two of the Atlantic 10 Championships to help give the team 82.5 team points, moving the Dukes into sixth place of 10 teams.
Meghan Smith finished in a tie for second in the 200 IM with a school record time of 2:01.80. She was followed by Miriam McGeath in fourth place with a time of 2:02.40 and Line Lovberg, who won the consolation finals with a ninth place time of 2:04.76.
The evening opened with Kylie Dickman finishing in 16th in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:04.12. The individual events ended for Duquesne with Samantha Ray finishing sixth in the 50 free with a time of 23.71.
The Dukes waited out the women's diving event, before ending the day with a fifth place finish in the 200 free relay in a near school record time of 1:34.70.
Day three of four action begins Friday morning with preliminaries at 10:30 am and finals at 6:30 pm.
