Results

Duquesne will have 11 different women's swimmers compete in tonight's Atlantic 10 Championship day four finals. Two of those swimmers set school records in the morning preliminary action.

Senior Kyla Favret came in second in the 200-yard backstroke with a school record time of 2:03.34 while freshman Lori Yeaman placed sixth in the 200 butterfly in a record time of 2:06.53.

Melissa Johnson beat all of the competition in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.68 and was followed by teammates junior Katrina Streiner in fifth, junior Christina Sherrard in 11th and senior Lauren Stephens in 16th.

Also qualifying in the 200 back were freshmen Tara VanNatta in 13th and Briana Mangis in 14th while freshman Kirstie Shumaker was an additional finals qualifier in the 200 fly, finishing eighth.

Also looking to score points tonight are seniors Katie McHugh and Mary Beth Gorinski in the 200 breaststroke.

The final finals begin at 6:30 pm.
