Dukes Complete Day One Action of CSU Invitational

Duquesne's swimming team wrapped up day one action at the Cleveland State Invitational in fifth place with 200 team points.

Line Lovberg tallied 17 of those team points by placing sixth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:09.38. She was followed by Kylie Dickman in ninth in 2:10.93.

Samantha Ray grabbed eight team points by placing 13th in the 50 freestyle in 24.52. Not far behind was Claire Nobles in 19th in 24.82.

The biggest point-getter of the day though came in the 50 breaststroke as the Dukes had six swimmers score team points led by Meghan Smith with an 11th place showing in 32.08.

The Dukes also got significant points in the 400 medley relay as the Red and Blue finished sixth for 34 points in 3:59.66. DU also managed eighth in the 200 free relay in 1:38.72 for 30 points.

Day two of three action takes place on Saturday.
