Duquesne swimmers Line Lovberg and Meghan Smith wrapped up the 2012 portion of the schedule by competing in the 2012 AT&T Winter National Championships.

On Friday, Smith placed 56th of 61 swimmers in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:06.02. On Saturday, Smith and Lovberg both competed in he 400 IM, with Lovberg placing 23rd of 34 competitors with a time of 4:25.58 while Smith finished 29th in 4:28.00. Lovberg also swam a 56.72 in the 100 butterfly time trial. On Sunday, both Dukes swam the 200 butterfly with Lovberg finishing 29th of 47 in 2:03.47 while Smith was 35th in 2:03.82.

"Austin was a lot of fun this past week. We got to see a lot of fast swimming, including new American records, and got more experience under our belt," said Smith.

"Even though I did not meet my expectations in the pool, I had a good experience and a memorable weekend," said Lovberg.
