MEET NOTES 
- Duquesne travels to Geneva, Ohio for the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship meet at the SPIRE Institute. The four-day event begins on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. with the final session beginning on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m. 

- The Dukes capped the regular season with an 8-1 record in dual meets, including a 6-0 mark against Atlantic 10 competition. Duquesne topped Davidson, Richmond, George Mason, La Salle, Saint Louis and St. Bonaventure earlier this season. 

- DU has registered back-to-back second-place finishes at the Atlantic 10 Championship. Last year's 498.5 points at the title meet marked a program-high for the Dukes. 

- Five current Dukes swimmers own Atlantic 10 titles:
Lexi Santer (400 IM / 4:20.33 / 2015) & (100 backstroke / 1:58.00 / 2016)
Abby Watson (100 backstroke / 55.82 / 2015) & (200 medley relay / 1:41.23 / 2017)
Kristen McKnight (200 medley relay / 1:32.61 / 2016) & (200 medley relay / 1:41.23 / 2017)

- The Dukes were selected to finish second in the conference preseason poll. Richmond has won seven straight Atlantic 10 Championships in addition to 15 of the last 16 titles. 

- Duquesne has nine top times in the conference on the season heading into the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship:

DU AT THE 2017 ATLANTIC 10 CHAMPIONSHIP 
- Duquesne posted its second consecutive second-place finish at last year's conference championship meet, recording a program-record 498.5 points during the four-day meet. 

- The Dukes opened the meet with a first-place mark in the 200-yard medley relay (1:41.23) by Abby Watson, Kayla Owens, Kristen McKnight and Michelle Heim.  

- Summer Svitavsky set a new school record in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:59.95. 

- DU added three more silver medals: 
800-yard freestyle relay: Lexi Santer, Lauren Devorace, Carson Gross, Sydnee Karam (7:19.46)
200-yard freestyle relay: Kristen McKnight, Emily Thirion, Carson Gross, Michelle Heim (1:32.77)
400-yard IM: Lexi Santer (4:17.74)

As well as four bronze medals: 
200-yard IM: Lexi Santer (2:01.02)
200-yard breaststroke: Abigail Stauffer (2:14.40) 
200-yard butterfly: Morgan Smith (2:01.22)
400-yard freestyle relay: Carson Gross, Molly O'Brien, Lexi Santer, Lauren Devorace (3:23.61)


LAST TIME OUT 
- The Dukes last competed in the 2018 Western PA Invite at Trees Hall on Jan. 27. Junior Abigail Stauffer won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.23 while the 200-yard freestyle relay team of seniors Lexi Santer and Michelle Heim as well as juniors Morgan Smith and Kristen McKnight placed first in the event with a mark of 1:36.81. 

- The Duquesne divers participated in the YSU Diving Invite on Feb. 3. Freshman Colleen Rodrigues paced Duquesne in both events on the day, finishing fourth in the 1-meter dive (215.85) and sixth in the 3-meter dive (191.85). 


UP NEXT 
The Dukes will take part in the 2018 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America National Invitational in Annapolis, Md. on March 8-10.
