Duquesne's Lexi Santer, Abby Watson and Abigail Stauffer have been named to the A-10 All-Academic Team

NEWPORT NEWS, Va . - Duquesne juniors Lexi Santer and Abby Watson and sophomore Abigail Stauffer have been named to the 2017 Atlantic 10 Conference All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office today.
Santer, who is receiving the honor for the second consecutive season, is an occupational therapy major with a 3.71 GPA. The junior from Wilmington, Delaware, holds the program record in the 200-yard Individual Medley with her 3rd place finish and NCAA B cut time of 2:01.02 at the 2017 A-10 Championship.
Watson, a speech-language pathology major from Chesterfield, Missouri, has a 3.79 GPA. The junior holds the second-best finish in Duquesne history in the 100-yard Backstroke with her time of 55.82 set during the 2014-15 season.
A sophomore nursing major from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Stauffer has a 3.69 GPA. She set a program best at the 2017 A-10 Championship, placing 3rd in the 200-yard Breaststroke with an NCAA B cut time of 2:14.40.
The three Dukes are also on the Dean's List, Director of Athletics' Honor Roll and Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. Duquesne finished in second place for its second-straight season at the 2017 A-10 Championship with a program-record 498.5 points.
